I was born in the Philippines, which means my house was guarded by men with AK-47s. Living on base is for pussies. According to anecdotal evidence, genealogical research and ancestry.com the following are ethnicities I belong to but generally I just say I am Filipino-American: British Isles (Irish, English, Scottish not original Welsh), Spanish, Filipino (Ami tribe, in particular. There are actually tons of filipino ethnicities but lay people generally don't know the difference), French, Czech (Bohemia), Austrian.
I won't put up with any of your crap. I'm quick to point out your faults if they are the sort of character flaws that bully the weak or non-aggressive. I don't care for people who give me unsolicited advice while they don't have their own ducks in a row. I think those who put up with bullies and tyrants because they are afraid are enablers of injustice. My liberal friends think I'm a conservative, war-monger and my conservative friends think I'm a fluffy treehugger. My moderate friends think I'm fairly sensible. I love the pursuit of knowledge for knowledge's sake...but, I don't mind the occasional practical applications that end up helping humanity. I don’t mind asking for help. And, I won’t steal somebody’s work product or neglect to give credit to whom credit is due. The help and kindness of others have helped me get to where I am in life. I don’t like it when women try to bring each other down just because they’ve been raised to compete with other women instead of cooperating with them. It isn’t just men that have subjugated women throughout history… it is also the cowardice and pettiness of selfish women that subjugated other women. You know what ticks me off about Hannibal Lecter? Other than the obvious, of course. He totally makes fun of Agent Starling for being a simple country girl from the sticks! WTF? What’s wrong with being a simple country girl from the sticks?! What a snob. If I weren’t afraid he’d eat my hand I’d punch him in the face! Snobbery and un-egalitarian behavior should be defeated. I don’t believe that the commandment against using God’s name in vain means we can’t say ‘G-D’ dammit. The research I’ve done leads me to think that it means not to take an oath in God’s name if you aren’t truthful or you plan on not following through with the oath. You can disagree with me but if you believe what you believe based merely on a modern English language explanation of an ancient Middle Eastern text then you probably are the sort of person that forgot that Jesus was a Jew and that he spoke Aramaic NOT King James English. Not hatin’ just sayin’. We’re all citizens of this planet. You’ve got a problem when you evaluate people’s worth by what nation is on their passport. Is that what Jesus would want of you? I don't have a problem with authority. I have a problem with the abuse & misuse of authority.
